The attorneys and legal staff at KLING LAW are dedicated to understanding what results you want and to helping you understand what actions we can take on your behalf. We will work with you every step of the way to make sure that you understand the choices you are making and feel empowered to make them.
KLING LAW was established in 2022 but the attorneys of Kling Law have been practicing in the New York and Maryland legal communities, nearing 15 years, with a proven track record of client confidence. We use that experience to help you down a path to the results you need. Check out our success stories, and then schedule your phone consultation today.
Ms. Kling focuses her practice on guardianship, Medicaid planning and appeals, civil litigation, and estates and trusts. She has significant experience providing private individuals and families with assistance in addition to providing representation to skill care facilities, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living and rehabilitation facilities with guardianship, Medicaid, administrative hearings and litigation assistance. Ms. Kling received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Geneseo. She went on to earn her J.D. with a civil litigation concentration from the University of Buffalo School of Law.
After practicing law in Western New York at a boutique firm, Ms. Kling moved to Maryland and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Timothy J. McCrone of the Circuit Court for Howard County. She then worked at multiple elder law firms for nearly a decade practicing in nursing home assistance, guardianship, Medicaid planning and appeals, collections, mediation and probate.
She also serves as court appointed counsel for alleged disabled persons and independent investigator for individuals in guardianship matters throughout Maryland including Howard, Montgomery, Anne Arundel, Baltimore County and City, Harford and surrounding counties.
Ms. Kling is honored to serve as a mentor to young and inexperienced guardianship, Medicaid and elder law attorneys with the Howard County Bar Association Mentorship Program.
With Ms. Kling's experience, strong results and client-oriented approach she looks forward to being the one in your corner.
KLING LAW's paraprofessionals and legal staff add years of experience to provide you with the help and assistance you and your family will need to achieve results.
What's with the buffalo / bison?
KLING LAW's member attorney, Rachel Kling, was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. Buffalo, the city, will always hold a special place in her heart. Unbeknownst to many, Buffalo, NY is famously nicknamed the "City of Good Neighbors" because of the strength of community, family, and friendship that Western New Yorkers take pride in calling Buffalo home.
Although KLING LAW operates in Maryland, our staff finds it imperative to instill the above values in each case we take. This is why it was so important to us to include the buffalo / bison within our logo.
Bison are know to be strong-willed animals that wont hesitate to charge into a storm, head-on, instead of fleeing. With KLING LAW you won't have to feel like you need to run, avoid or hope your guardianship, planning or legal needs will disappear. At KLING LAW, we take pride in knowing the guidance through client unchartered obstacles, with honesty, professionalism and strength, is what you and your family deserve and is exactly what we can offer.
KLING LAW not only strives for legal excellence but believes in the importance of giving back to our community to build a better tomorrow. Through mentoring, tutoring, and volunteering the team of KLING LAW continues to give back to the same community that allowed us to grow.
Ms. Kling proudly volunteers with the Maryland Youth & The Law program and serves as a judge for the yearly MYLaw High School Mock Trial Competition for young high school students seeking interest in a future profession in the law.
KLING LAW also proudly participates in the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland Red Shoe Shuffle which is a yearly 5k walk/run event that raises funds so RMHC Maryland can continue to provide for the RMH children and their families.
